The Millau Viaduct connects Paris France to Barcelona Spain
05/24/13
The Millau Viaduct as seen below is one of the true engineering marvels of our modern age. After over a decade of planning the construction took only four years from 2001 to 2005 to complete. The highway span connects Paris France to Barcelona Spain. Standing tall with the worlds highest bridge piers it literally resides above the clouds. Later at some point there shall be a developing discussion as to why such a structure points the way toward effective large scale project developments consistent with the transgenerational concept of Planetary Development. but, also the Millau Viaduct proves the case that such visions like that of Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows of The Venus Project can be done on a planetary scale if our civilizations social will and zeal were applied to the process by effectively utilizing a resource based economic system.

The Viaduc de Millau is one of these structures and definitely belongs to the mega bridges. The documentary about Viaduc de Millau gives impressive insights into the planning and construction of the mega bridge in France. Viaduc de Millau reaches a weight of 290,000 tons and a length of 2460 meters. This makes the bridge the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world.” (Space and Science) |
